Many travelers want to understand how a flight may feel without interpreting specialist weather charts. CheckFlightComfort.com connects an estimated airport to airport route with current official airport weather, advisories, and recent pilot reports.
Independent and passenger focused
CheckFlightComfort.com is an independent information service. It is not affiliated with NOAA, the FAA, an airline, an airport, air traffic control, or an aircraft operator. It does not provide dispatch guidance or make operational safety decisions.
Our data standard
We do not publish sample results as though they were live. When official aviation weather services cannot answer, the product displays “Live data unavailable.” Airport matching and coordinates are based on the open OurAirports dataset. Reports show source availability, freshness, and a separate confidence label. The data source and freshness guide explains what every source contributes.
Editorial and correction standard
The CheckFlightComfort Editorial Team is responsible for passenger guides, methodology explanations, and product wording. Passenger explanations are written to distinguish observations, forecasts, advisories, and recent pilot reports. Material claims link to source and methodology pages.
Research, drafting, and editing tools may assist with organization and plain language. Automated output is not treated as evidence. Material aviation claims are checked against the primary official references cited in each guide before publication.
When a limitation or error is found, the affected explanation is corrected and its review date is updated rather than hiding the uncertainty. Readers can use the contact and corrections page to identify the exact page and statement that needs review.

Independent review status: The service does not currently claim review by a named pilot or aviation meteorologist. A person and credentials will be published here only after a real reviewer has been appointed and verified.
How information is reviewed
Forecast logic is checked against the documented time coverage of each source. Observations such as METARs and pilot reports are not presented as tomorrow's forecast. Articles are reviewed when the underlying data source, forecast method, or passenger-facing explanation changes.
Core aviation claims are checked against primary material from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center, the FAA Turbulence Program, and the source documents linked in each guide. Secondary summaries are not used as substitutes when the official source is available.
What a forecast means
A turbulence outlook is an informational estimate, not a safety determination or guarantee. The displayed path is an estimated route, not the aircraft's filed flight plan. Weather, routing, altitude, and timing can change. Passengers should always follow airline and crew instructions.
Verification without invented accuracy
Anonymous forecast snapshots are collected without passenger identity to create a future verification dataset. No accuracy percentage is published until there is a documented method, an appropriate sample, and rules that account for missing reports, false alarms, and missed stronger signals.
